Review: Tigress for Two – Marissa Dobson
Determined to keep her past from ever being known, Kallie has spent most of her life in hiding. Although, it’s taken her quite a bit of time to trust people again, she’s done her best to integrate herself into the clan she’s now a part of. Deep inside, she wishes she didn’t have to hide who and what she is. Yet she knows that if she’s to remain safe, sound, and in one piece, she can never divulge the secrets of her past to anyone.
Unexpectedly crossing paths with the handsome, Taber, one day, Kallie soon realizes that he’s more than she ever bargained for. He stirs her senses in ways no one else has. She keeps telling herself that she wants nothing to do with him. That he’s nothing but trouble. The fact that he’s a bear certainly complicates things. Most especially since she’s an Alaskan tiger. Never-the-less, she can’t deny the fact that there’s something sizzling between them.
When her past starts to catch up with her, she comes to the realization that she can’t keep running from it. Sooner or later, she’s going to have to confront what she left behind whether she wants to or not. With no other option but to place her trust in his hands, Kallie does her best to withstand the onslaught of what’s heading her way. Not only does she have to contend with her growing attraction for Taber, but also what she’s begun to feel for his twin brother. As her past draws ever closer, she finds herself standing in the middle of a situation that might just prove to be her own undoing. Come what may, she’ll meet things head on. She has to, most especially when there’s two men vying for her attention.
A suspenseful and quite engrossing read, Tigress For Two continues the events that have taken place in the first two books of the series. This time, things take an unexpected turn when two bears find themselves fighting for the same woman. While this is definitely written as a standalone novel, it certainly touches base on events taking place in books 1 & 2. It ties up a couple looses ends, and introduces the reader to new characters that slowly worm their way into your heart. I’m honestly enjoying this great series, and look forward to what comes next for all of the characters involved.
Available for purchase via the following retailers: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Sunshine Press, All Romance Books, Smashwords.
Synopsis:
Kallie lived her life hiding from everyone and everything except selected members of her clan, fearing someone would discover who she was and what she had fled. She would not be tortured again, no matter if the cost was her life. When Taber enters her life, she isn’t sure if she should trust him or run as fast and as far as she can. His presence changes everything, and to let him in means she must remove the guards keeping her safe since her escape.
A debt that is owed…
Taber owes the Alaskan Tigers more than he could ever repay. They supported him and his Kodiak bear sleuth when they needed backing the most. He has joined their fight against the rogue tigers in order to repay his debt. Finding his mate among the Alaskan Tigers was unexpected. He always wanted a female bear as his sow mate, and to raise a few cubs of his own. What he didn’t need was a tigress with trust issues.
A love that could destroy them…
Finding his mate should be the best day of Thorben’s life, but when he comes to Taber’s aid and discovers his destined tigress mate is already his brother’s mate, brotherhood must overcome nature, because bears mate for life.
About The Author:
Born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, I now reside about an hour from Washington, D.C. I am a lady who likes to keep busy, and am always busy doing something. With two different college degrees, I believe you are never done learning.
Being the first daughter to an avid reader, this gave me the advantage of learning to read at a young age. Since learning to read I have always had my nose in a book. It wasn’t until I was a teenager that I started writing down the stories I came up with.
I am blessed with a wonderful supportive husband, Thomas. He is my other half and allows me to stay home and pursue my writing. My writing buddies Max (a cocker spaniel) and Dawne (a beagle mix) are always around to listen to me bounce ideas off them. They might not be able to answer, but they are helpful in their own ways.
