A wonderful beginning to The Keepers series, we’re given such a lovely insight—even if it’s not pretty, at times—into who and what Kieran is. This is a young man who’s not sure of what to make about the constant dreams he’s bombarded with. Deep inside, he knows there’s more to the secrets his family keeps, most especially his father. Secrets he realizes may end up being more than he ever bargained for.
Meg has done a beautiful job in setting up what’s coming next for Kieran and those he comes in contact with. She’s painted such vivid pictures that you can imagine the unique world she’s creating every step of the way. So much so, that you often find yourself wanting to know more about the world and the diverse characters she’s created. I’m looking forward to seeing how far she’ll expand this world she’s painstakingly put together.

They started off as daydreams about how the evil queen (aka Mom) had her slaving away doing chores; and more recently shifted into creating backgrounds about the people stuck beside her during rush hour.
