#Review: I Am The Wild – Karpov Kinrade
Eve had no idea what she’d be getting into when she decided to accept an ad she saw in the newspaper. She soon sets foot into a world that takes her by surprise in more ways than one. The Night brothers are nothing like what she’d thought they’d be. Determined to make sense of the craziness that now surrounds her, she immerses herself in the new life they’ve now given her, never once giving thought to what lies in store for her at every turn.
A tad different from Karpov Kinrade’s usual story tropes, I Am The Wild sets the stage for what promises to be a quite intriguing series. Upon diving into the book, we’re thrown smack-dab into Eve’s plight. She’s had it tough and is still struggling with her brother’s unexpected death. It’s not easy living life now that he’s gone. Nevertheless, she makes do.
The authors show us that no matter what happens, it is possible to overcome pain and heartache. They also show us that trusting people can be difficult, most especially when we build certain thoughts, feelings, and desires around a person. This is a certainty they show us with every turn of the page. In the end, nothing is as it seems.
An intriguing page-turner, this is a book leaves you guessing at every turn. Just when you think you’ve got things right, an unexpected twist tosses everything you thought from the get-go out the window. I honestly can’t wait to see what’s in store for Eve and the Night brothers soon enough. The adversities that constantly surround them must be dealt with, no matter what comes their way.
