DM Button Cara Gallagher’s dreams have taken an erotic turn. She finds herself intertwined within the arms of a man she’s never met who draws her to him in every way imaginable. Within the dream itself, she also experiences a premonition that leans toward her twin sister. She convinces herself that it’s just a dream, never knowing that it’s not until it’s much too late to save her sister.

Presented with the opportunity to temporarily relocate to Seattle for her job, Cara decides to take the offer, much to her husband’s chagrin. In her mind, it’ll allow her to deal with her grief over her sister’s death while also coming to terms with the fact that her marriage is pretty much dead. In her mind, she’ll be able to make better sense of the current situation she finds herself in, never once imagining that her otherworldly dreams will also follow her to Seattle.

DM BCWhile out on the town one day, she meets a woman who seems to know her quite well. She isn’t sure how that is possible since she’s never met her till now. When it becomes apparent that the woman is more than what she seems, Cara is surprised to find that she’s an angel sent on behalf of her sister. The angel knows what she’s looking for and is intent on helping her discover if the man of her dreams really exists.

Taken aback by the ferocity of what she’s experiencing, Cara tries to tell herself that the paranormal activity isn’t possible. She can’t be dreaming of a man who’s real, can she? Yet when events are set into motion, she realizes that what she feels isn’t just a dream. It’s definitely real and she clamors to find the man that’s stolen her heart from the moment she saw him within her dreams.

This was a quick, but very gripping read. It’s also a little thought-provoking because things like this really do happen in real life. I know some may argue that this just isn’t possible, but it is. It really is. I think Kim did a wonderful job in showing the emotions Cara experiences as she comes to accept that she’s not alone in what she feels.

I do think that the situation with her husband could have been expanded upon a little further. It was as if there’s wasn’t that much closure there despite the fact that she finally garnered a divorce from him. Never-the-less, the book is a wonderful read and I enjoyed it very much.
