pen etc Maintaining a website and a blog at the same time takes some doing. I confess that I suck at it. Mind you, I had no problem creating either. It’s just the updating that I do badly with. But in my defense, when I do take the time to update them, I do it with gusto.

Take today, for instance. I spent several hours updating the pages on my website, adding in a calendar on several of the pages and posting the appropriate links to my RSS feed, my Twitter, and my Facebook author’s page. The feed link, though, goes straight to this blog, as I still need to create the .XML file that will allow me to link to my website’s feed stream. Which should come into being soon.

I’m also here, writing this little post on the above. In all honesty, I’m not much of a blogger. Well, not for the article type. Previously, I’d just use a blog to share poems and the occasional story, or two, that I’ve written.

As the saying goes, we learn from doing. I created this blog upon self-publishing ‘Closure’ to write about whatever catches my fancy. Ironically, most of what I’ve blogged about has been about my experiences with writing and publishing. I’ve also noticed that this has also been helping with my writing. Kinda sets things in perspective, I suppose. Which is a good thing.

I’m doing my best not to write a ‘book’ when blogging. Simple is better, they say. But if per chance a long post seems to find it’s way in here, somehow, I apologize in advance. I can’t help writing. Most especially when something catches my attention and I start to make a point. I intend to blog more, here and there, and update the site/this whenever possible.

I hope you all enjoy yourselves here. If you don’t, let me know. I’d love to know why. I’d love to know what people would like to read/see/do more around here, so please, let me know. For those of you that have stuck with me, thus far, thank you. I’ll do my best to keep bringing new content and whatever else I find along the way to you all. <3

And before I forget to mention it, Guest blogs are always welcome. 🙂 Open to topics of any kind.
