Flesh and Feathers by April Fifer

For the past ten years, Azaleigh Carlton has been living her life as each day comes. The simplicity with which she’s lived has worked well for her, yet there are times she’s found herself dwelling upon the past. Most especially upon the death of her mother. She’s made do with what she has and is content to continue living her life in the same manner she is now.
Deviating from her usual daily routine after work one day, she stops at a bar and comes across a man who captures her interest from the moment she sets her eyes on him. There’s something about Kale she finds intriguing, making her want to know him just a little better. She soon finds herself spending more time with him, enjoying every moment they have together. Until Next Time by Amy Lignor

Emily is an angel, one who’s been created to save, judge, defend and forgive a human for the lives they live and any indiscretions they may commit. Being an angel isn’t easy for her. Throughout the lives she’s lived, she’s come to know what it’s like to be human, something she has a hard time dealing with as time goes by. Yet she’s determined to learn about the race the Lord has created in hopes of helping him and his beloved children further understand what makes humans who, and what, they truly are.
Her soul mate, Matt, has been trained alongside her. He’s the one who will fight for everything they believe in, a warrior who’s heart belongs forever to Emily. His skills as warrior have been honed to the point where he’d do anything to protect the woman, (or angel, in this case), he loves. Yet he knows that, first and foremost, he must follow through on the orders his Heavenly father has bestowed upon him. While each life he and Emily live gets more difficult than the one before it, he knows their doing so will give the angels and the entire Heavens a better understanding of the emotions and the battles humans go through every day.
