Review: Patience – Katie Salidas & Willsin Rowe
Donelle Fortier knows what she wants, when she wants it. She runs her ad agency with an iron thumb and expects the best of results from those who work for her. She considers herself an honest person and does the best she can to get the job done. She expects her employees to follow through on any orders they’re given in hopes of taking her company further than its ever gone before.
When a lapse in judgment changes everything she ever knew, Donelle wonders if she’ll be able to sort things out in order to salvage the situation. Edan Dalca is intent on making her see things his way. He’s not pleased with the fact that circumstances have changed between him and Donelle. Nor does he like that she intends to treat him the same way she’s always treated him before, as one of her employees.
Donelle knows that she’ll need to set aside the attraction she feels for Edan if they’re to get over the fact that things aren’t going exactly as they planned. He considers himself the next best thing her company has ever gotten a hold of, while she knows he needs to grow up and mature a little more if he’s to succeed in life. Unfortunately, getting Edan to see that fact is easier said than done.
Taking the bull by its horns, Donelle makes a decision she knows will change both her life and Edan’s forever. He needs to be taught a lesson and she knows exactly what she needs to do in order to gain his obedience. He’s stubborn and willful, yet she knows he’s also willing to do everything within his power to get ahead. The question is, will he sit still long enough to pay attention to the lesson at hand in order to reap the reward that’s waiting for him once everything is said and done?
I’ve got to hand it to Katie and Willsin for delivering such an enticing and very delectable story. I found the characters very likeable, although Edan was way too cocky for even his own shoes. Never-the-less, he added the necessary tension to make the story even more intriguing. Full of steamy scenes and vivid descriptions that’s sure to paint a picture for those who read this story, Patience is enough to keep the reader wanting to read more once they get to the very end. A truly sexy read, it’s one definitely worth reading!
Donelle Fortier is no billionaire. She runs her ad agency with passion and scruples . . . and it shows in her bank balance.
Edan Dalca is the cocky young hotshot Donelle hired to pump life into her business. He’s intense, passionate . . . and downright hawt.
But when his arrogance threatens the agency’s future, Donelle realizes he needs to be taught one very important lesson: patience.
And with Donelle’s consummate skills, it’s a lesson that Edan will never forget.
About The Authors:
Katie Salidas is a Super Woman! Endowed with special powers and abilities, beyond those of mortal women, She can get the munchkins off to gymnastics, cheerleading, Girl Scouts, and swim lessons. She can put hot food on the table for dinner while assisting with homework, baths, and bedtime… And, She still finds the time to keep the hubby happy (nudge nudge wink wink). She can do all of this and still have time to write.
And if you can believe all of those lies, there is some beautiful swamp land in Florida for sale…
Katie Salidas resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mother, wife, and author, she does try to do it all, often causing sleep deprivation and many nights passed out at the computer. Writing books is her passion, and she hopes that her passion will bring you hours of entertainment.
Willsin Rowe falls in love with a scent, a playful expression or an act of casual intimacy more easily than with physical beauty. When confronted by any combination of those elements he is a lost cause. He has done many things over and over, done even more things only once, and half-done more things than he cares to admit.
He loves to sing and doesn’t let his voice get in the way. He is intelligent but not sensible. He is passionate but fearful. He is not scruffy enough or stylish enough to be cool.
