#Review: My Control – Lisa Renee Jones
Mark Compton’s life continues to spiral out of control. Rebecca’s disappearance and supposed death has been hard for him. Though he’s doing everything possible to overcome the obstacles popping up left and right, maintaining a semblance of order has been difficult.
To top it all off, Crystal’s presence in his life has sent everything into a tailspin. Mark keeps telling himself that he’ll keep her at arm’s length. That he won’t continue to involve her in the chaos he calls life. Yet he knows that way of thinking is just wishful thinking.
Whether he wants to admit it or not, Crystal is an avid part of his life. She’s everything he could want in a woman. Everything he knows he could love. That realization is hard to come by for Mark, but he’s determined in making his hectic life work for him. Somehow, some way, he will come out on top. But first he must deal with the way Crystal truly makes him feel.
If you haven’t caught up yet on the Inside Out series, you’re going to want to. Lisa delivers another action-packed portion, this time immersing us in more of Mark’s story. Losing Rebecca has been difficult for him. Though he’s done his best to overcome adversity, it still doesn’t lessen the possibility that Rebecca is no more. I can’t wait to read more of Mark’s side of things soon enough.

I have lost the man I once was, letting guilt and heartache define who I am. Darkness has controlled me, and one woman has seen what no one else has seen in me, what I do not wish to exist. My hunger for her has driven me to the edge of sanity, but no more. She’s about to find out that the Master has returned.
