Review: Midnight Moon – Marilee Brothers
Ever since she was given her Moonstone, Allie Emerson’s life has never been boring. She’s dodged repeated attempts on her life, has learned to properly use her magic, dealt with the fact that she’s both the prophecized Star Seeker and a Faery, and learned to juggle her crazy love life. In her mind, her life is not what she thought it would be, but she wouldn’t trade it for the world.
As the Summer Solstice looms on the horizon, Allie soon realizes that she’s way over her head. She’s destined to save the world from destruction, but she’s not quite sure as to what she needs to do or how to complete the task at hand. Never-the-less, she’s determined to do exactly what she’s supposed to in hopes of achieving the goals that have set forth before her. She can’t let the world fall into the Dark Fae’s hands, and she’ll do everything possible in order to prevent that from happening.
With the help of her beloved friends and family, Allie sets off to discover the secrets behind her being able to keep the Dark Fae from crossing over, once and for all. The Trimarks, unfortunately, are making things difficult, but she’s knows she can thwart their advances whenever possible. Granted, they’re eager to achieve their ultimate goals. Their eyes are set on Earth itself, something she knows she’ll keep them from getting at all costs.
A heart-warming, yet delightful read, Midnight Moon is the last chapter of this wonderful series. Here we get to see Allie come in to her own as she finally accepts who and what she is. She’s grown in so many ways, and has overcome so many obstacles to get to where she is now. She’s always had a helping hand in which she needs to do, and is never alone in achieving her goals. With friends and family by your side, anything is possible if you just try. That’s a theme that filters through each of the books. Unbidden Magic is a series that will make you want to read each book again and again.

The Trimarks are planning an invasion. And the only thing standing in their way is Allie and the moonstone . All Allie wants is a normal life – friends, boys, school dances. Right. Like that’s going to happen.
In two weeks, during the summer solstice, Allie’s going to face the biggest challenge of her life, fighting against time to save the world from a Trimark invasion. You’d think the world of weird might leave her alone to plan how she’s going to survive. But nothing in Allie’s world is simple or easy, especially when she’s attacked by Trimarks trying to steal the moonstone. Then Sammie disappears into the faery world of Boundless, and Allie must follow and bring her home, only to find the fairy queen, Luminata, isn’t about to let Allie leave. So, what’s a girl with magical powers supposed to do?
Fortunately, she has a team to help her, a team with special talents of their own.
