Review: Learning To Live – Marissa Dobson
For Meg Harper, her life is a never-ending battle. She’s lived a very sheltered and protected life with her brothers hovering nearby at every turn. She detests such intense scrutiny, and yearns to walk away from the life she’s currently living. She’s tried so hard to accept the fact that her brothers will do anything to make sure she’s safe. Unfortunately, she’s not sure how much more she can take.
The fact that she can see spirits is also another nail in her coffin. Everywhere she turns, one pops up. They follow everyone she talks to, and they never let her rest. Most especially when they need something. Her cumbersome life is difficult at best, and she desires to let everything go, once and for all.
When the opportunity arises for her to go to the Half Moon Harbor Resort, Meg doesn’t hesitate. She dives in, head first, intent on making the most of her time there. The fact that she’ll be cut off from the rest of the world also seals the deal. In her eyes, she’ll be able to kick back, relax, and not have to worry about anyone or anything while she’s there.
She’s soon settling in, preparing herself for what’s to come, when the unexpected happens. A simple mix-up has her sharing quarters with the delectable and equally gorgeous Jay Wilder. The thought of spending time with him so closely is upsetting. Though she can’t deny that she’s attracted to him from the get-go. If she’s to make the most of her time at the resort, she’ll need to accept the change in plans. Most especially when it comes to finding love in the most unexpected of places.
This was a wonderful first book for this series. I honestly enjoyed it very much. A quick read, it dives head first into Meg’s supernatural world. We’re able to see and feel her pain and heartache as well as the happiness she experiences when she finally finds what she’s looking for. I’m not sure if this is tied to Marissa’s tiger series somehow, but it’s definitely a series to look forward to.

About The Author:
Born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, I now reside about an hour from Washington, D.C. I am a lady who likes to keep busy, and am always busy doing something. With two different college degrees, I believe you are never done learning.
Being the first daughter to an avid reader, this gave me the advantage of learning to read at a young age. Since learning to read I have always had my nose in a book. It wasn’t until I was a teenager that I started writing down the stories I came up with.
I am blessed with a wonderful supportive husband, Thomas. He is my other half and allows me to stay home and pursue my writing. My writing buddies Max (a cocker spaniel) and Dawne (a beagle mix) are always around to listen to me bounce ideas off them. They might not be able to answer, but they are helpful in their own ways.
