HM Button Auralee Fraser has always been interested in Scottish folklore. It’s unique history intrigues her, and she yearns to learn more about it. Her family can’t understand as to why she’s so drawn to Scotland itself. Most especially, her overprotective brother. Trystan means well, but she finds his demeanor quite overbearing, sometimes. Granted, he has her best interests at heart, but she fervently wishes that he’d give her the space she so clearly deserves.

When the opportunity of a lifetime lands her lap, Auralee can’t thank her lucky stars enough. She has the chance to go to Scotland, and make her dreams come true. Unfortunately, her plans don’t work out the way she wants them to. Work is at the forefront of everything she needs to do. If she’s to succeed in the plan she’s set for herself later on down the road, she’ll need to keep her head on straight from the get-go.

In Auralee’s mind, going to Scotland is the one thing she’ll definitely make sure happens, once and for all. Deep inside, she can’t ignore the lure she feels toward the place itself. There’s something about it that speaks to her soul, and she wants to know exactly what and why that is. Although she tells herself that she can squeeze in a little play in between work, she knows she doesn’t have enough time to truly enjoy herself. Never-the-less, she’ll do everything possible to make the best of her trip overseas.

HM BCWhen her lovely companion, Galen, takes her on a trip to see the sights, Auralee soon realizes that she may have gotten more than she bargained for. An unexpected decree soon has her questioning her sanity. While she’s never believed in magic, she knows anything is possible. Someone obviously needs her help. Still, she’s up for the task, even though she’s not quite sure as to what she needs to do.

This was such a lovely start to what seems to be a nice series. As a lover of everything historical, as well as the lore behind Scotland itself, this is a story that’s intrigued me greatly. It’s full of romance, suspense, and a little fantasy mixed in. I’m definitely looking forward to what comes next.
