#Review: Crush – Lacey Weatherford
Cami Wimberley has mapped out her entire life. She has plans, and nothing is going to get in the way of them. Not even boys. Boys are a hassle she can do without. She’s promised herself that she’ll coast through high school, and do what needs doing at all cost. The male equation of the student body will never have a part in her plans. Until the moment she meets Hunter Wilder. It’s then her entire life changes.
Hunter is everything she never knew she wanted in a guy. Snarky, kind, and considerate when needed. Granted, he’s not exactly the type of guy others think she should date, but Cami doesn’t care. There’s something about Hunter that draws him to her, and she refuses to let go of the feelings he’s begun to evoke in her. Despite her best friend’s warnings about who and what Hunter is, there’s no way she can stop thinking of Hunter. Nor will she let go of what he’s slowly begun to mean to her.
Determined to make the most of the situation, Cami promises herself that she won’t let things go too far. After all, Hunter seems to be quite mature in more ways than one, and he is also running with the wrong crowd. Still, that doesn’t deter her from enjoying his company whenever he’s around. Part of her knows she should leave well enough alone. That she should let Hunter go and continue with her studies, but that’s harder to do than she could have ever imagined. Most especially when she finds herself falling for him against her better judgment.
Fast-paced and action-packed, Crush will take you for a thrilling ride as you dive into Cami and Hunter’s tumultuous lives. Lacey injects such feeling and passion into her characters that it’s hard not to like or hate them. Cami and Hunter’s growing love is beautifully painted. Their hot and steamy scenes even more so. This is the start of volatile series that will leave you wanting to read more and more with every turn of the page. Absolutely enjoying the series thus far!
