GA Tour Button I’ve recently spent a lot of time unpacking the boxes my mother shipped to me that contain everything I didn’t take with me from home when I moved away at 18. I’d be lying if I said I had forgotten about most of the junk. There’s a lot of crap that I really don’t want and don’t need packed into those boxes and though most of it is being donated to charity, there are a couple of good things in there that I plan to hold on to, if only to show my children one day while they stand in awe of the hard life I was forced to live as a child.

Among the many pieces that are currently waiting to be put on the new shelves my husband is building are trinkets I purchased each year at Cheyenne Frontier Days. If you aren’t familiar with this event, you should be. It’s the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and it’s held the last full week of July each year in Cheyenne, Wyoming (I happen to be from there). A full week of rodeos, concerts, carnival rides, parades, pancake breakfasts, and fairs full of unique handmade items.

I’ve bought a lot of things over the years but a few come to the front of my mind. For example, I bought my very first lipstick at one of those booths (much to my mom’s dismay). It was green in the tube, but turned a hideous shade of bright pink when applied. I also bought a set of Chinese meditation balls and a clown doll. I still own the last two. They are reminders of the fun I had there over the years. Dates that I had at the night shows, time with friends on rides, and of course family trips to the rodeo.

GA BCDo you have a place or event you go to with your friends or family regularly? Any trinkets you’ve picked up along the way?

Synopsis:

Colton is exactly the kind of distraction Amber doesn’t want, but he might be exactly what she needs to get back on track.

Recovering from a bad fall during competition, Amber McDonald decides to spend her last week of training before her next rodeo at a Colorado ranch, away from any and all distractions. It’d be the perfect arrangement—if only her fear wasn’t stopping her from getting back on her horse.

Then Colt Riley steps in. He’s sexy and seems to have incredible insight into her situation, but he’s everything she’s been trying to stay away from.

Colt knows exactly what Amber is going through…because he’s been there before. Forced to give up his riding career after an accident, he sets his mind to helping her get back on track. All that’s easier said than done, especially when she discovers his hidden past. Will his efforts be enough to help her get ahead?
