Author Interview: Embue
Tell the readers a little about yourself.
Hi, my name is Embue which in French means “The Steamy One”. My forte is to bring forth erotica romance-themed stories that come from many walks of life. It’s a pleasure to be here.
As an author, do you take time to read? If so, what do you like to read and who is/are your favorite author/s?
Yes, I love to read. Summertime is usually my most cherished time to read. The other three seasons are usually consumed in writing. I enjoy reading almost anything with a captivating synopsis, romance seems to be my favorite. Some of my favorite authors are: Iris Bolling and Leila Jefferson. Their works are unique and riveting.
How do you stay motivated when the Muse is uncooperative?
It does happen and when that is the case, I usually search for a CD with some music to ‘spawn’ the Muse into the forefront. That could vary from Neo-Soul to 80’s hits. It depends on the mood and the music.
If you could go anywhere in the world on a romantic getaway, what would you do and where would you go?
Oh, that’s an easy one. I’d love to visit Cannes and absorb the area. Take in the sights and write notes for another story on the beach. Listen to the locals and learn from observation.
What is the hardest thing for you to write?
The most challenging thing for me to write is poetry. It’s hard-hitting, quick, intense and most of all, honest. Trying to balance the elements and keep it classy can be frustrating at times, but it works itself out in the end.
If you could live the life of one of your characters who would you be?
Hmm . . . So far, I have just a few in my catalog but I’d definitely like to be Arizona “Ari” Garrison.
The tag line on my blog is ‘Indulge Your Inner Romantic.’ What do you do to indulge?
My preferences are enjoying French chocolate truffles, a premier glass of red wine, stimulating jazz with amazing vocals. But the most important factor is allowing it to birth the next cast of characters dying to be showcased.
