Took a moment this morning to calculate what it would be like writing one short story a day. Mind you, this is far removed from what I’ll be writing each and every day, as I’ll be working on current projects and other new ones as well along the way.

My word count goal for each story is about 2000 words a piece. Crazy, I know! Still, it’s doable. I’ve written almost 2k+ words in one hour before. I kid you not!

According to the calculator—if I write every day and strive toward that word count for each story—I’ll end up with 730,000 words written by the end of the year. That’s the total for 365 written stories.

That final number mind-boggled me. Mind you, not every story will end up being just 2k words. Some might end up being longer, which means I’ll end up with an even bigger total for words written by the end of the year.

This goal of mine might seem like it’s unreachable to some, but I’m determined. I’ve a nice little start already, so I now know it’s doable. I’ve seen other authors do this in the past, and they’ve reached their goal every step of the way.

This year, I want to give this a goal a shot with every fiber of my being. What kind of stories this year will bring, it’s hard to say. Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing the craziness my Muse has in store for me. Perhaps some day soon I’ll share all of the stories I’ve written/will be writing this year with the rest of the world. We shall see!

To those of you who’ve been inspiring me, thank you. You’ve no idea how much it means to me. I love and appreciate each and every one of you, as well as treasure and appreciate the support you’ve been giving me every step of the way. I mean that truly from the deepest reaches of my heart.
